However, its May sales were over 2,000 units lower than in April 2025. Hyundai sold over 14,000 units of the Creta, Creta Electric, and Creta N Line combined. The Toyota Hyryder, a rebadged version of the Maruti Grand Vitara, has replaced it in the sales chart to take the second spot. In fact, it recorded the highest month-on-month growth in the segment at around 63 percent. Kia sold over 6,000 units of the Seltos in May 2025, which is almost the same as its April sales, reflecting negligible losses. The Maruti Grand Vitara slipped to the fourth position, registering a 27 percent decline in monthly sales. Maruti sold over 5,000 units in May 2025, compared to over 7,000 units in April.
